What are Airspace Lounges?

Airspace, owned by global airport services conglomerate Swissport, is a pay-as-you-enter airport lounge network that's open to everyone. Currently at three airports (CLE, SAN and JFK), Airspace plans to expand their lounge offerings to additional airports in the future.

What does each Airspace Lounge Offer?

Business Areas

You can reserve any Airspace Lounge business area for private use for the cost of entry plus $50. To reserve, call the lounge directly, or via their online form here.


Only the JFK Airspace Lounge offers this amenity at this time. Anyone can reserve a time for use of this shower by calling the JFK lounge directly (718 244 0602), or via their online form here. If you choose to reserve a time, there is a non-refundable charge of $10. Otherwise, use of this shower is first-come, first-serve, and is included in the original entry fee.

Internet Access

Wireless internet is available, free of charge, to anyone using the Airspace Lounge. All seats have an electrical plug too, so you can freely browse the web. In addition, you are welcome to use the computers in the lounge, which have internet access.


Complimentary snacks, coffee/tea, and soft drinks are offered throughout the day. Each guest also receives one credit that can be used towards either a meal or alcoholic beverage. More meals from the menu and alcoholic beverages from the wine bar are available for an additional cost.

Accessing Airspace Lounges

Day Pass

Airspace One-Time Fee

Prices fluctuate throughout the day depending on how busy the lounge is, and start as low as $20 and can go up to $35 or more. This entrance fee allows you to access any Airspace Lounge all day, with unlimited re-entries. Only credit cards are accepted as payment. If you're flying into BWI, you'll even receive a discount to enter the lounge there.

Access via Credit Card Benefits

American Express Platinum Card and Centurion Card Members

AMEX Platinum and Centurion Card members have free access to Airspace Lounges, and are allowed to bring up to two guests each into the lounge.

Bank of Ireland Gold Visa Business Card Holders/Aer Lingus Gold Circle Club Members

Travelers on an Aer Lingus flight with a Gold Visa business card and members of Aer Lingus' Gold Circle Club flying on Aer Lingus can freely access the JFK Airspace Lounge. One guest, who must be on the same Aer Lingus flight, is also allowed into the lounge.

Access with a Boarding Pass

Business Class Aer Lingus Customers

If you're traveling in business class on an Aer Lingus flight, you are permitted access to the JFK Airspace Lounge in Terminal 5. No guests are allowed.

Locations and Accessibility

There are currently three Airspace Lounge locations:

1) Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE)

Both departing and arriving passengers can access the Airspace Lounge at CLE.

2) John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK)

Located in Terminal 5 at JFK, only those flying in/out of this terminal can access this lounge.

3) San Diego International Airport (SAN)

Accessible to all passengers traveling through Terminal 2. The lounge is located between Terminal 2 East security and the bridge to Terminal 2 West.
