SBI Card Unveils LoungeKey Benefit
The LoungeKey airport lounge membership program, which offers access to lounges at more than 500 airports covering over 100 countries, is now making its debut for consumers in the Asia-Pacific region. SBI Card, in partnership with MasterCard and Collinson Group, is making the LoungeKey benefit available to SBI Platinum Card and SBI World Card holders, effectively giving them easy access to premium lounges worldwide without a need for additional membership cards or vouchers.
Doha International Airport Expansion Plans
The New Doha International Airport Steering Committee has unveiled plans to expand Hamad International Airport (HIA). In addition to retail, food and beverage, and other public spaces, there will be 26,300 square meters of space allocated for Qatar Airways lounges (including the Al Mourjan and Al Safwa lounges).
Cathay Pacific Wins Best Airline Lounge in Asia
Business Traveller Asia-Pacific, a leading magazine for frequent business travellers in the Asia-Pacific region, sent out poll forms to its subscribers this past spring. In these forms, they asked frequent travelers about their favorite airlines, hotels and loyalty programs. The results were announced at an exclusive luncheon at the Conrad Hong Kong, and the award for the best airline lounge in Asia-Pacific went to Cathay Pacific Airways. The Aer Lingus Revival Lounge Has Arrived
The national airline of Ireland, Aer Lingus, has opened a new arrival lounge at Dublin Airport. The Revival Lounge, as this new lounge is called, caters to all of the airline's business class passengers arriving in Dublin. One of the lounge's main goals is to reduce the discomfort of jet lag when arriving from another time zone. Amenities include showers, clothes pressing and steaming, changing rooms, and refreshments. The refreshments selection consists of croissants, pastries, coffee, tea and juices.
Alaska Airlines And Icelandair - Partners Again
Alaska Airlines and Icelandair have announced that they will enter into a codeshare agreement and frequent flyer partnership. What does this mean lounge-wise? Starting October 1st, Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan MVP Gold and Gold 75K members will receive complimentary access to the Icelandair Saga Lounge at Keflavik International Airport. Vice-versa, Icelandair's Saga Club Silver and Gold members will be able to count on complimentary access to Alaska Airlines Alaska Lounge locations in Anchorage, Los Angeles, Portland and Seattle (Concourse D, North Satellite).
Upgraded Virgin Australia Experience At Brisbane Airport
Brisbane Airport expansion means good news for Virgin Australia's business class travellers and eligible Velocity Frequent Flyer program members, who will now be able to enjoy new features and amenities at the renovated Virgin Australia lounge in the domestic terminal. The Virgin Australia Lounge in Brisbane has doubled in size and now features enhanced valet service, a premium entry point, and espresso and wine bars. And that's not all - there are also more seating areas with both power and USB points, allowing guests to get their devices all charged up and ready to go.
